Have you done your bowel screen test?
The risk of developing bowel cancer rises sharply and progressively from age 50, but the number of Australians under the age of 50 diagnosed with bowel cancer has been increasing steadily.
That’s why it’s important to know the symptoms of bowel cancer and have them investigated if they persist for more than two weeks.
So what can you do?
If you’re over 50, complete and return your bowel screen test if you haven't already.
If you’re under 50, get to know the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer and visit your GP if you have any concerns.
Almost 99% of bowel cancer cases can be treated successfully when detected in its earliest stage.
